Tennis star, Chris Evert donning a tennis bracelet

In honor of Wimbledon next week, we’ve curated an assortment of swoon-worthy tennis bracelets to be sported on and off the court.

While the tennis bracelet has been around for a while, it wasn’t coined as such until Chris Evert (former no 1 world tennis player) made it a wardrobe staple during matches, pairing it with her tennis whites. In 1978, the bracelet caught everyone’s attention, famously falling off Evert during a match at the US Open. Play was halted to search for the diamond bracelet, making it a literal showstopper. Since then, this dainty accessory has gained notoriety and become a signature piece of many, from everyday wear to black tie. Check out our edit below.
